the Dominican Republic, Law Nº 20-00
on Industrial Proprietary Rights creates
a whole structure about Contracts, Right
to Use, Licensing, and the Registration
and inscription of Distinctive Signs, such
as trademarks, trade names, logos, emblems,
labels and business slogans. The office
in charge of registration is the National
Office of Intellectual Property (Oficina
Nacional de la Propiedad Intelectual [ONAPI]).
As part of its national and international
corporate practice, our firm has a vast
experience in registering, defending and
protecting the rights granted by Law Nº
20-00 on Industrial Proprietary Rights,
